Melbourne

May 30-31-

From the bush to the big city!  We spent 3 nights in Melbourne enjoying all the culture of the major city  in Victoria.  We took in an AFL game at the "G" and Matt & the boys spent one full day touring the Great Ocean Road.  Here are some highlights:

View of the city from the ANZAC Memorial

Melbourne has a street art culture like we've never seen before...
from graffiti to masterpieces like the photo below

This Aboriginal artist has painted buildings throughout the city

An old and famous arcade filled with shops and eateries-
this mosaic was commissioned and completed by artists from Milan in the 1800s and has held up to present day

Here we enjoyed delicious Australian desserts including Lamigtons, Pavlova & Vanilla slices- YUM!

The Melbourne Cricket Grounds (MCG) shortened by Aussies to "The G"

We attended the Indigenous Round played by the Richmond Tigers and the Essendon Bombers
and now have two passionate AFL youngster fans.
