Trick Fountains at Hellbrunn

June 13, 2014

Today we visited Hellbrunn Palace. It was built by the Prince-Archbishop of Austria as a place to entertain guests for the day (the palace has no bedrooms).  He had a keen sense of humor and his legacy of trick fountains is enjoyed by kids of all ages around the world still today.

Makes for an interesting dinner...

An Operatic Farewell & Off to Fushl Am See

June 9, 2014

You cannot come to Vienna and leave without seeing the Opera House... so this is how we spent our last morning before heading to the little town of Fuschl am See right outside of Salzburg.

The boys in deep discussion/contemplation about something...
only they know.
The outside view of the grand Opera House
Inside opulence...

After touring the Opera House, we headed to the Opera House Museum-
NOT!
Third position...sort of....

Much happier with some nourishment before heading to the train.

Our new "home" for the last leg of our journey- The Mohrenwirt
Time for a swim before dinner
