This morning we again enjoyed Thala and were led by the head gardener, Brett, through the grounds to explore the flora and fauna. In the afternoon we took the bus to the town of Port Douglas, known by locals as "Port". Here we relished meat pies & browsed the shops.

| No, this is not a reptile- It is a bird! Nocturnal Tawny Frogmouths are very rare to see in the daytime. If I had not seen the feathers with binoculars I would have never believed it was not a lizard... |
