Today we drive westward across the top of the country driving through Akureyri, the second largest urban area in Iceland, second to Reykjavik. We have a 1 night stopover near the Vatnsnes Peninsula before heading to the westernmost leg.
We decided to start the day with a nice hot swim before the long drive.

| It takes it name from a troll named Kola who supposedly dug the ravine and continues to live there to this day |
